Meets once a week on Wednesdays for 8 weeks at 4:00pm.
Students will learn their basic technique in ballet with work at the barre, center floor, across the floor, and choreography. We will have a mini Winter EnRIDGEment showcase for the parents towards the end of their session (date is TBD).

Intro Classes | Ages 5-7 | Beginning Hip Hop is where we will learn the history and culture of hip hop while using age appropriate music and themes from this genre. We will explore and develop foundational hip hop grooves and moves through improvisation and choreography.
Ages 8-12
Meets once a week on Mondays and/or Wednesdays for 8 weeks at 6:00pm.

The Ridge Kids Sports Club

Ages 3-5 Preschool Cubs Class! Come and exercise with us while learning the basic techniques of soccer, T-ball and  tennis while building confidence in a fun and nurturing environment. Back by Popular Demand! This course will take you through a professional artist’s process to accurately transfer your favorite animals onto paper. You will learn techniques like drawing proper proportions, shading with a variety of light sources and textures, and replicating the colors of nature. Instructors Tina Johnson and Brian Wong are passionate about sharing their love of art and their experience together as both professional artists to empower other young artists to expand their knowledge and ability to draw and create. From raging dinosaurs to graceful stallions, you will get to develop your drawing skills while drawing the animals/creatures that fascinate you most. Whether you draw every day or have never really drawn before, this class is a great way to take that next step to becoming a master of pencil art.

Come and spark your child’s curiosity about music! This is a perfect introduction to piano and music for those who have little to no experience. Students will use a keyboard to focus on piano basics. Have fun while learning to find notes on the keyboard, read music, and play simple rhythms and songs! This is a great way to introduce children to the joy of playing the piano!

Allow your child to continue learning and growing! This is tailored for the young beginner, starting with very basic concepts like:

  • Posture at the piano – correct finger position and sitting posture.
  • Note values and Finger numbers
  • Dynamic signs and Time signatures.
  • The grand stave/staff and note reading using intervals.

Remember that constant practice is highly recommended.

The journey continues, from where you left off on level 1A

  • New musical terminologies in Italian that refer mostly to tempo as it is common with musicians globally.
  • New musical concepts like key signatures, major scales & tetrachords, the use of the piano pedal, the 8va sign, playing and understanding the use of accidentals; sharps, flats & naturals, counting quavers and quaver rests, fermata(pause). and as a bonus to all that, you have a glossary at page 47 containing all the signs and terminologies learned from Level 1A and 1B.
  • To play in different positions through the piano – The C position, G position, Middle C position, G position (with L.H one octave higher), Middle D position, and the Middle (half step position). The last few songs are a mix of different positions.

The time signatures used are basic and are the same as those used in level 1A. New time signatures are introduced at a later level.The series progresses so carefully and it is problem-free, it is the start of a new adventure. So get your practice shoes and let’s hit the piano.

Meet Our Instructors!

Jadyn Mueller, lifetime local resident to Snohomish, joins us for EnRidgement Classes!

Jadyn has played soccer for over 10 years in Snohomish United, Club, Select, and school.Jadyn has also played basketball her whole life on traveling AAU teams, clubs, and school.

In her free time she plays volleyball, softball, golfing, bowling and hiking in our beautiful PNW.

Jadyn picked up tennis also during high school and qualified for a full ride scholarship to Bellevue College.

She teaches 3 – 7 year olds in a variety of sports.

Jadyn, currently studying to be an elementary school teacher,  has a full ride with her tennis scholarship. She loves teaching children sports, watching them learn and succeed while having fun. Jadyn loves how it can help build motor skills, self esteem, team work opportunities, and the love of sports.

My name is Brian Wong. I specialize in illustrations and character designs.

I am an artist who graduated with a full ride to DigiPen Institute of Technology where I earned my bachelor degree in Art and Animation. I specialize in illustrations and character designs. I have taught art classes back in high school to elementary students at Cedar Springs Camp. God is our Creator and He has gifted us with the ability to create and make art. I love art because there is always room to improve and learn. Art is so vast and fascinating. I am excited to share and teach kids a few things I learned about art throughout my life. Hi! My name is Jan and I love music!

My parents owned a music store for over 40 years and I had the privilege of teaching group piano lessons when the first electronic Wurlitzer piano labs with headphones were created in the 70’s! Now we have portable keyboards and ANYONE can LEARN to PLAY and have fun doing it!

I am also a preschool and elementary school education specialist and enjoy playing my piano, organ, flute, and guitar plus other instruments I have collected.  Please come expecting to have FUN!

I am a wife and mother of two amazing kiddos that love to experiment and test things with me. I have worked with children for over 20 years and I am currently the EnRidgement Program Director at The Ridge. I love spending time with my family, playing soccer, dancing and watching kids get super excited about science! I am passionate about learning and making science interesting and fun for everyone!
